7. Anxiety
Individuals who have gluten intolerance are said to be prone to anxiety and other panic disorders. This symptom will make one feel anxious, agitated, uneasy, and nervous. One study has shown that 40% of those who have gluten sensitivity have experienced anxiety from time to time.
8. Numbness of Arms or Legs
Another known symptom of gluten intolerance is the feeling of numbness or tingling sensation in either the arms or legs. Although neuropathy is common among individuals who have diabetes and deficiency of vitamin B12, it can also happen to individuals with celiac disease. Studies show that those who have gluten intolerance will have a higher risk of suffering from numbness in the arms or legs. The exact reason behind this is unknown but it may be due to the presence of antibodies that are linked to gluten intolerance.
