Capsaicin For Treating Neuropathy and Hyperalgesia
Fibromyalgia is also involved in a certain type of pain known as neuropathy, which happens due to a dysfunctional or damaged nerve. Even though there is not yet any clear evidence of the presence of neuropathy in CFS, there is at least one study suggesting that CFS may share underlying biology with neuropathy and a significant overlap with conditions that involve neuropathy.
Several studies have also shown that capsaicin can be an effective cure against neuropathy, especially when it is taken along with other medications. Another study that has made these studies even more relevant is that capsaicin has been found to be more effective in people who have hyperalgesia, an amplification of pain in the nervous system. Hyperalgesia can be a factor in both chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
