Whole Body Cryotherapy For Fibromyalgia

How Does Cryotherpy For Fibromyalgia Work?

The most significant result of cryotherapy is the reduction of inflammation. However, as you know, fibromyalgia is not an inflammatory disease. This leads to the question how this therapy benefit those with fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is believed to be a result of an overactive nervous system. Thus, the idea is simple. Reducing inflammation can help to reduce the feeling of pain. In addition, submitting the body to the extreme cold will trigger the body to react. When this happens, the body will produce special proteins known as the cytokines. These proteins can help to repair the damages in the body and will reproduce cells despite of the extreme cold. The other benefits that one gets from cryotherapy are better blood circulation and repair of damaged tissues.

Hi Kathy, I wanted to message you to say I understand. I have severe fibro & had it for 25 years. My life has completely changed too, I’m not the person I was. I don’t do many fun things these & spend a lot of time alone. I’m here if you want to chat.We could try & cheer each other up as best we can.
Hope you have as good a day as possible.
      Take care
      Izzie

This was me too! I was a very strong woman, I worked a full time physically demanding job, a ran a farm, had a large garden, canned my own foods, and not to mention my yard was always largely decorated with numerous flower gardens and I weeded the whole property by hand. I now can’t even run my two miles every morning, walk across the street to get my mail, or even do simple daily things anymore. It is very soul and dream crushing. I’ve become just a shell of the person I once was.

I would like to be able to workout and loose weight but I’m in so much pain I can’t
with fibro I can’t. Why is it some doctors don’t believe the pain is really bad? This is debilitating no quality of life.
