It is easy to see why most fibromyalgia patients feel exhausted in the morning. They usually do not get enough sleep at night. In fact, fibromyalgia is linked to several sleep disorders which include the following:
- Bruxism or teeth grinding
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Restless legs syndrome
There are also studies which indicate some patients having an abnormal sleeping pattern that can interrupt deep sleep. Any of these conditions can leave the patient feeling tired the following morning. Furthermore, if a patient suffers from a combination of these symptoms, it can get even more difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
