6. Breathlessness and Dizziness
If you have a B12 deficiency, you will become anemic and you will start feeling a bit dizzy and short of breath. The reason for this is because your body does not have enough red blood cells that can transport enough oxygen all over your body.
Do not that breathlessness and dizziness are very common symptoms and there can be many reasons behind them. Nevertheless, if you’re feeling breathless too often with no apparent reason, it is best to see your doctor so he can check if you have a B12 deficiency.
7. Disturbed Vision
Another common symptom of B12 deficiency is disturbed or blurred vision. This usually happens if you have had the condition for too long that it has damaged the optic nerves leading to your eyes. When this happens, the nerve signals that travel from your brain to the eyes will be disrupted, which then impairs your vision. Such a condition is called optic neuropathy. Although this is somewhat alarming, vitamin B12 supplementation may treat this condition.
