Too Much Relaxation
The hot water that comes out of the shower head can help the body to feel relaxed and is good for the muscles. However, for patients who are already dealing with profound fatigue, showering early in the day may not be a good idea, especially if you are still fighting to wake yourself up.
Both FMS and ME/CFS can overlap with sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, and restless leg syndrome. The conditions may lead to non-refreshing sleep and can leave the patient feeling fatigued throughout the day. If you need to be functional and productive for the day, the last thing you want is to relax.
