What is Post-Exertional Malaise
Post-exertional Malaise happens when the symptoms get worse after a minor mental or physical exertion. They will usually appear within 12 to 48 hours of performing the activity and will last for several days or weeks. This may seem pretty usual even for those who are not familiar with the condition since its a fact that everyone needs time to recover after rigorous activity, such as a tough workout.
However, when it comes to PEM, only a few things about it are normal to most people, whether they have CFS or not. This condition is not only about muscles that were overused or the lack of rest.
