Symptoms of Dehydration
As dehydration progresses, these are the usual signs and symptoms that will occur:
- Confusion
- Cracked lips
- Lightheadedness or dizziness
- Dry nose and mouth
- Muscle weakness or pain
- Feeling thirsty
- Headache
- Increased breathing and heart rate
- Urinating less or having dark urine that may sometimes come with odor
- Unusual fatigue or weakness
- Wrinkled skin
Remember that in the most extreme cases, dehydration can lead to seizures, kidney failure, stroke, heat exhaustion, and may even have fatal consequences. That is why it should not be neglected and left untreated. If you are showing any signs of dehydration, hydrate yourself immediately and head to space with cooler temperature. Extreme dehydration will require an IV treatment in the hospital.
