Creatine for Fibromyalgia

There is no huge number of studies or findings of creatine and fibromyalgia. However, the past and current experiments and results are truly compelling.

A study made by Arthritis Care & Research in 2013 suggests the effectiveness of creatine supplements and additives in how the muscles of patients with fibromyalgia work. This particular study suggests that creatine decreases the chance of developing adverse effects when muscles are used with the chronic pain condition.

Another remarkable finding made in 2017 and announced in an article in BMC Neurology suggests that disruption in creatine production may result in fibromyalgia. In addition, checking creatine levels through a simple urinalysis may help diagnose the issue.

Though this breakthrough is likely to be of high importance for different diagnoses in the future, it does not prove that synthesized creatine may solve this chronic pain condition. Nonetheless, this study may lead to more discoveries of treatment and possible causes of fibromyalgia.
