Multiple Chemical Sensitivity
Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) can also result in symptoms that are similar to chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. The usual trigger of MCS symptoms is when the patient is exposed to certain chemicals. Some of these chemicals can exist in everyday products such as cleaning products, perfumes, cosmetics and adhesives.
Since people are exposed to different types of chemicals every single day, it can be hard to determine which of these chemicals are the cause of the problem and if the condition is, in fact, MCS.
Gulf War Syndrome
It has also been found that the symptoms of GWS or Gulf War Syndrome are strikingly similar to the symptoms of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. These symptoms include musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, as well as cognitive problems. However, the severity of these symptoms would vary from one person to another.
