MCS in FMS and ME/CFS
MCS, FMS, and ME/CFS are somewhat related to each other. And if you have been diagnosed with any of these conditions, it can be difficult to determine if you have the other conditions as well since the symptoms are extremely similar to each other. In this case, it is best to observe yourself for any changes. These include new clusters of symptoms that occur together such as nausea and headache.
Be mindful of any symptom triggers, such as stress, fragrances, etc. Once you are aware of the changes, talk to your doctor about it, and emphasize that these symptoms are new. Keeping a symptom journal may also help.
Research also shows that having more than one of these conditions will have a bigger impact on your overall well-being. You must be able to get an accurate diagnosis of these symptoms in order to successfully manage and treat each condition. Avoiding things that can trigger the symptoms is the best advice for managing these conditions.
