How to Maintain Healthy Magnesium Levels.

Although our body contains magnesium, it does not produce the mineral. Therefore, daily consumption of magnesium is required to maintain healthy magnesium levels and prevent hypomagnesemia. Depending on your age, the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of magnesium is 400-420 mg for adult men and 310-360 mg for adult women.

To fulfil your RDA, you can either consume magnesium rich foods or magnesium supplements. The best food sources of magnesium are seeds and nuts. They are followed by legumes and leafy green vegetables.
