Rule-of-thumb #2: No Elastic Bands At The Waist



Elastic waistbands are a major cause for pain as it puts pressure on your waist and lower back to hold any bottoms in place. They also tend to cause more discomfort after a meal.

Drawstrings sweatpants are ideal as a pain-free attire. Drawstrings are prefered over those with only elastic waistbands, as the drawstrings can be adjusted to any desired tension accordingly throughout the day.

But of course, not everyday is a weekend. When needed, low rise jeggings or pants that falls just on the hips can relieve pressure in the waist or abdomen. Likewise for undies, choose something that sits on the hips rather than on the waist.
