However, it is necessary to monitor your diet and weight closely during the course of antidepressants. Signs of bloatedness, cravings for sweet treats and comfort food or frequent hunger could indicate a reaction due to the antidepressants. Consult and seek your doctor's opinion when in doubt and request for another drug.
Some anti-depressants don’t affect weight such as Effexor and Serzone. Conversely, there are also drugs which causes weight loss such as Wellbutrin. However, it is advisable to switch drugs within the same class of antidepressants.
