Omega-3 fatty acids

Omega-3 fatty acids, present in tuna, sardines and salmon, and flaxseed, hemp, chia and walnuts, are instrumental in reducing the signature inflammation associated with fibromyalgia. They also prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases. Many fibromyalgia patients also suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IRS) and Rheumatic Arthritis (RA), which are eased by taking a regular diet of Omega-3 foods. The good fat present in these foods helps in relieving pain in fibromyalgia patients.
