Antidepressants For Fibromyalgia Causes Weight Gain?

Anti-depressants are commonly prescribed to alleviate mood disorders or depression, a common symptom of fibromyalgia. No doubt effective in regulating mood, certain types of antidepressants are found to cause side effects leading to unwanted physical changes such as weight gain.

It was found that antidepressant medicines, especially SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) drugs such as Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro and Paxil, can result in weight increment of 4.5 kilograms or more!
