Alternative Therapies for Fibromyalgia Hip Pain
Alternative therapies which include exercises, such as yoga, can also be used to control, treat and manage any type of pain in fibromyalgia.
Yoga
In one study conducted at York University, it was found that practicing yoga can help to minimize the psychological and physical symptoms of chronic pain in women who are suffering from fibromyalgia. The study suggests that yoga can help to manage the level of cortisol in women, which leads to the reduction of fibromyalgia symptoms.
In another study, it was found that yoga exercises have the ability to combat the widespread pain brought about by fibromyalgia. The same study also revealed that yoga can help treat a number of fibromyalgia symptoms, such as anxiety, fatigue, pain, and poor memory. Results show that fatigue was reduced to 30%, pain was reduced to 24%, and depression at 42%.
