How to Use Glucosamine and Chondroitin to Relieve Fibromyalgia Symptoms

Both glucosamine and chondroitin can be taken as nutritional supplements. Though they are usually taken together, taking one or the other alone may also show effective results. It is best to speak to your doctor before taking these supplements as sometimes they cause side-effects.

Dosage: Glucosamine works best with a daily dose of 1500mg. However, the appropriate dosage for each individual can vary depending on his/her height and weight. If you weigh under 50 kg, take only 1000mg per day. Not more than 1200 mg of chondroitin should be taken per day.

Side-effects of glucosamine and chondroitin: The side-effects of regular usage of these two supplements include: soft stools, diarrhea, nausea and intestinal gas.
