Researchers found a significant improvement in the pain quotient the participants experienced. They felt less pain, fatigue, problems with daily functioning, bad moods and anxiety and the effect of fibromyalgia for the TC when compared with the WLC. The improvement seen here was clinically relevant in the TC group.
The results of this trial show that when high-risk patients of fibromyalgia are given treatment customized to their specific problems soon after diagnosis, there is a definite improvement in short-term and long-term physical and mental outcomes. Follow-up assessments and low dropout rates proved to be evidence of how beneficial this treatment was.
