Swimming


Swimming is one of the least painful exercise for fibromyalgia patients and is often recommended as a form of water therapy to improve the chronic pain condition. Due to the water resistance, swimming does not stress the joints but helps in muscle strengthening. Patients are able to cruise on the natural movement of the water hence using less effort of own. Swimming in a warm water pool can also promote relaxation and better blood circulation which further elevate its pain reliefing effects.
