Pasteurized Dairy

Dairy or lactose intolerance is a common syndrome affecting up to 70% of Americans in varied degrees. While it is not directly associated with fibromyalgia, it still affects up to 75% of patients with the pain disorder. The reaction to dairy, in particular the main protein, Casein, can worsen pain by causing inflammation and disrupting the immune system.

Tip: Get plant-based calcium from vegetables like spinach, kale or broccoli.
