Serotonin Deficiency

This hormone is manufactured from the amino acid known as tryptophan. It acts as a neurotransmitter and influences appetite, sleep pattern, mood, neuroendocrine function, and energy. When serotonin levels fall it results in tiredness, depression, enhanced sensation of pain, and low blood sugar. To increase Serotonin levels in your body, you can take 5-HTP supplements, a modified amino acid that produces this hormone or St. John’s Wort, an herbal antidepressant that boosts serotonin levels.

Low Amine ATP (Low Energy Efficiency)

Fibromyalgia patients often suffer from low ATP with less energy molecules in their muscles. This occurs because of deficiencies pertaining to those elements responsible for manufacturing ATP such as magnesium and oxygen. Low ATP is also attributed to poor metabolism of nutrients. Without adequate ATP, you will experience weariness, more pain, and increased spasms in muscles. To increase ATP level in your body, you can take Magnesium supplements. You could also try CoQ10, on a daily basis, an important enzyme that produces pathway of the muscles' energy centers or mitochondria.
