The final step of the treatment is Reduce. This is to reduce any remaining fatigue and pain by treating these symptoms through targeted medication and therapy. After working on the first three steps, the patient should already gain significant improvement in her symptoms. On the final step, medication and some form of therapy can help alleviate any remaining symptoms.
These 4 steps are merely a guide to approach your fibromyalgia treatment. Instead of only focusing on pain relief, these steps allow patients to address the underlying issues in their health and lifestyle. It may take months or years to fully accomplish each step.
