How Does Chlorella Help In Fibromyalgia Pain Relief?

Chlorella is believed to have positive effect on alleviating pain and tenderness. A pilot study, published in Phytotherapy Research, found that average tender point index of 20 fibromyalgia patients dropped from 32 to 25 after 2 months of chlorella treatment. However, more studies are needed to confirm the findings.

Chlorella also has anti-viral and anti-fatigue properties. It helps to strengthen immunity, improve physical stamina and exercise capacity.

If you have fibromyalgia, chlorella can serve as a good nutritional supplement. It provides essential nutrients B12 and folic acid, which many fibro patients lack. It is also a good source of vitamin A, B, C, E etc. Furthermore, chlorella also contains the plant pigment carotenoids which have health benefits such as protecting the eyes and preventing cancer.

I have often wondered if there was a correlation between Fibromyalgia and PTSD since a vast majority of people I have worked with, in the past, have had some type of deep physical, emotional, medical, or spiritual trauma.
